The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has stated that the differences between Iran and America are not tactical but are based on principled and fundamental grounds.

mAliworldNews/Iran: The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, addressing thousands of students on the occasion of the National Day of Struggle Against Global Imperialism on November 4 in Iran, said that the date of November 4 should be permanently recorded in national documents and the history of Iran. He stated that the differences between Iran and America are not tactical but are based on principled and fundamental grounds.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution described November 4, 1979, the date when revolutionary Iranian students seized the American embassy in Tehran, as a day of success and pride, saying that on this day the true face of the American imperialist government was revealed. He stated that the American embassy in Tehran had become the center of conspiracy.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, recounting the history of America's enmity with the Iranian people, said that this hostility began after the coup against Mossadegh's government on August 19, 1953, and continues to this day. He said that today, America and the Islamic Republic represent two opposing ideologies.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that if the American government completely ends its support for the vile Zionist regime, withdraws its military bases from the region, and stops interfering in the internal affairs of regional countries, then in that case, America’s request for cooperation with Iran can be considered—but not immediately; rather, after years, some consideration might be given to it.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, referring to the Quranic origin of the word "arrogance," described it as considering oneself superior and stated that sometimes an individual or government may consider themselves superior but does not harm the interests of others and in such cases does not become a cause of hostility. However, sometimes a government, like the British government in its time and today's American government, gives itself the right to seize the vital resources of nations and become the master of their destiny, or establishes military bases in countries whose governments are not powerful and whose people are not awakened, or begins to plunder the oil reserves and other natural resources of nations. We are enemies of arrogance in this form and will continue to raise our voices against it.
