Ready for meaningful talks with Afghanistan, no talks with TTP: Pakistani Defense Minister

Pakistani Defense Minister

Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that if Afghanistan wants to hold talks, we are also ready for meaningful talks with them, but who will provide the guarantees for this?

According to the report received, while talking to a Geo News program, Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan does not refuse talks, we went to Afghanistan three years ago, there were four to five hours of talks with high-ranking officials. He said that Pakistan is ready for talks. If a solution is proposed, who will guarantee it? The Afghan government is not ready to guarantee it. They refused before and they still refuse today.

The Pakistani Defense Minister said that they do not give guarantees, and if they do, they do not stick to them. However, let me make it clear that there will be no negotiations with the banned TTP. We will also pursue them on the soil of Afghanistan. We have the right to take action against the banned TTP under every law in the world. If the Afghan government takes responsibility, we will welcome this step.

He said that we had told the Afghan government that we would see these people on our soil, and that there should be no attacks from here.

To which we were told in hushed tones that the banned TTP fought with us, and because of that, they could not take any major action against these people, so they talked about resettling these people.

Regarding Lee Amin Gandapur, Khawaja Asif said that he also did not provide any special cooperation with the law enforcement agencies. During his tenure, the number of terrorist shelters increased, 4 or 5 thousand people were settled, they increased further, they were facilitated, new shelters were built, both here and in Afghanistan.
