mAliworldNews/Pakistan: According to our correspondent's report, the Iranian military delegation led by Captain Dariush Eskandari was welcomed by Pakistani officials and Iran's military attaché in Pakistan, Colonel Mohammad Mohsen Shahabi, at the M.A. Jinnah International Airport this morning upon their arrival in Pakistan. This delegation from the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces will participate in the second International Maritime Exhibition and Conference.
For the first time, the Islamic Republic of Iran is setting up a pavilion at Pakistan's largest international maritime exhibition, aimed at highlighting Iran's military achievements including those of domestic industries in the defense and maritime sectors. This exhibition, considered Pakistan's biggest maritime event, is attended by the Chief of Naval Staff and representatives from 44 countries, with 28 foreign and 150 domestic pavilions set up.
The Pakistan Navy has stated that the International Maritime Exhibition and Conference serves as a platform to showcase products from the public and private sectors, establish business relations, and highlight opportunities present in various maritime domains.
Admiral Mohammad Faisal Abbasi, Commander of the Karachi Region of the Pakistan Navy, said in a press conference yesterday that along with the exhibition, a two-day international maritime conference will also be held at the same venue, where international experts, policymakers, academics, and industrialists will discuss the theme of "Maritime Cooperation for Sustainable Development."
